Description: Tree grows into a huge, tall tree with large girth. Branches spread all around casting a nice shadow.Simple leaves with long petiole, terminal - leaves arranged at the end of the branch.New leaves are brownish red and look very attractive till then turn green.Almost sessile flowers are tightly arranged on a peduncle in circular layers. Upper flowers of the spike are male, lower flowers are bisexual.Flowers are small brownish-red with strong odour.Flowers don’t have petals. 10 Stamens are arranged in two rows.Obovoid fruit - Egg-shaped with the narrower end at the base. Leathery skin with very hard seed cover. Takes almost whole year for the seed to mature.Each fruit has a single seed. Cotyledons hidden in the seed.
